About
Linnaeus University (Linnéuniversitetet) was formed in 2010 through the merger of Kalmar University and University of Gävle, and takes its name from the famous botanist Carl Linnaeus. The university is known for strong programmes in social sciences, engineering, media and design, and business with a focus on internationalisation and regional development. Campuses in Växjö and Kalmar provide modern lecture halls, libraries, labs, student accommodation services, active student unions, cafés and supportive student services.
